MAN UTD v CHELSEA betting FORM

With the Premier League season still in its early stages, Manchester Utd are once again in the wars in their worst ever Premier League start at this stage with two defeats, a draw and a single win from their opening four and with the pressure mounting on boss Ruben Amorim, whose 3 at-the-back system is seemingly not bearing any visible fruit for the floundering Red Devils. Can Utd lean on the Old Trafford faithful here to steady the ship?

Chelsea, meanwhile, have had a solid if not spectacular start to the new season. Still yet to taste defeat, the Blues have two wins and two draws on their ledger, although they will be disappointed with letting two points slip in their last league fixture against Brentford, where they conceded a late equaliser in stoppage time. With the home side low in confidence, can the Blues grab a first league victory at Old Trafford since 2013?

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON MAN UTD V CHELSEA?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Chelsea as slight 29/20 favourites to secure victory at Old Trafford while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, have the Blues at 13/10.

Man Utd meanwhile are 13/8 slight underdogs to grab the three points at Old Trafford - 6/4 on our 2 Up market, with the draw at 13/5. Of the 36 meetings between these sides with Man Utd as the home side, the Red Devils have won 14 of those, with 7 wins for Chelsea and 15 draws, making it the most common result in this particular fixture - will this be number 16?

Although not always outright goal-fests, meetings between these sides often see both teams scoring. Of the last ten H2H meetings, only three have not seen both teams scoring, although interestingly those three instances have come in the most recent and least recent meeting (two 0-0 stalemates in the 2020/21 Premier League, and 1-0 win for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in May 2025). You can back Both to Score at 40/85, or 13/8 if you fancy one or both sides to be toothless in front of goal.

MAN UTD v CHELSEA FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Chelsea/Man Utd 0 - 0.2. This means if Chelsea won 3-1, for example, a 'buy' bet at 0.2 would mean a return of 1.8x your initial stake.

If you bought at 0.2 in Chelsea's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.2x your stake. Or, if Utd were to grab a 2-0 home win, the market would settle negatively at -2 and a buy at 0.2 would result in a loss of 2.2x your opening stake.

You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.15 - 3.35. So, a 3.35 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.15 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.35 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.35x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.

MAN UTD v CHELSEA betting specials and price boosts

Spreadex will have several Price Boosts available nearer to kick-off, so make sure you keep your eyes on the website/app and the match pricing page.

Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes will likely shoulder the burden for Man Utd in terms of goalscoring threat, but can new signing Benjamin Sesko strike his first goal in Utd red and announce himself to the home faithful after a floundering start in England? Meanwhile, Chelsea will likely look to Cole Palmer for inspiration, though summer signing Joao Pedro has already found his goalscoring touch for his new side.

Midfield duo Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez already have a couple of goals on their ledger this season. Caicedo also found the net at Old Trafford in Chelsea's last visit here. In other storylines, could summer signing Alejandro Garnacho haunt his former side on his return to Old Trafford?

The Total Goal Minutes pre-match spread for this one stands at 158 - 168. The last Old Trafford clash between the sides saw a 1-1 draw with two quickfire goals in the 70th and 74th minutes, meaning a TGM make-up of 144.

This means if you sold at 158 and the market made up at 144 again, you would win 14x your opening stake. However, if you bought at 168 and the match finished goalless (0 Goal Minutes), the market make-up would be 0 and you would lose 168x your opening stake.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit, so be sure to set your stake size accordingly.
